My name is Mrs. Hildebrand and I started at Willard in 2006. I am currently as a Special Education Associate, and I love working with kids and the great staff we have at Willard, I call my family! My favorite color is purple and I love camping and spending time with my family and friends.

Hi! My name is Becca Miller, and I am so excited to be a part of the Willard Elementary family! I graduated from The University of South Dakota with an Elementary Education degree and taught in rural South Dakota for 5 years. I came to Des Moines as a live-in nanny for a little boy. After 3 years with him I went back into education, where I’ve been ever since. I am so proud to be a part of Des Moines Public Schools! I love spending my day surrounded by young people who teach me something new every day. Having an opportunity to be a part of their learning and development is something I consider to be a privilege. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my cat, Salem, who loves to cuddle, play, and escape through the screen door. I also love trying new foods, traveling, hiking, and anything that deals with water including swimming, boating, and paddle boarding. College Basketball (March Madness!) is my favorite! I can’t wait for a great year at Willard!

I’m Nurse Krysten and I love being the School Nurse at Willard.  I have been in school-nursing for 7 years and this is my 4th year at Willard. I have 2 children ages 11 and 6, plus my significant other and his 4 children! We are a real life “Brady Bunch” with 3 boys and 3 girls who all keep us busy with their endless activities.   I graduated with my Registered Nurse and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mercy College of Health Sciences 14 years ago.  As a family, we love spending time outside near the beach or pool, watching and cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Iowa Hawkeyes, relaxing on our patio and traveling.
